Salka is here from Iceland and is looking for new friends. She is friendly, fun to be with, and loves ice cream. If you do, too, extend a hand of friendship to her—preferably with ice cream. After all, Icelandic people love ice cream so much that they are likely to queue up for it even in stormy weather. This is interesting because Iceland is almost always cold!
If you're wondering how you will communicate with Salka, you shouldn't worry—she speaks English, too! When you see her for the first time, you can greet her by saying 'Hello' or 'Halló' in Icelandic.
Like many countrymen and women, Salka has blonde hair and blue eyes. Regarding fashion, she loves dressing up in traditional Icelandic clothes, which look like the clothes that women in Iceland wore a long time ago.
In the 17th century, Icelandic women wore Faldbúningur, an old type of costume with tail caps and oversized collars. Later, they started wearing something called a Peysuföt. Usually, these outfits included a long dress or skirt with a jacket, apron, shirt, and vest. That said, Salka also loves modern-day clothes.
Explore the Create or Design sections to choose a dress template and decorate it to suit your style, or create a traditional dress for Salka. You can also dress her from the Play section for your pretend play. She is excited to learn how you will personalize her style and give her a stylish look.
